Using Models

Scientists make models so that they can study and make predictions about things that are too difficult to study directly. 

Some things are too big, too small, to far away, or too complicated to study the real thing.

Scientists make observations and collect data in order to make a model that is as accurate as possible.  If new data or observations are made, models can be changed to be made better.
